Gary, Indiana's Freddie Gibbs has been through some shit. Rewarded a university scholarship, he was eventually expelled, court-ordered to bootcamp and after joining the military, discharged. He relied on street-peddling and drug-dealing until finding his voice in hip hop. Gibbs provides a first person perspective to the experience of living in a failed system.
