Le Loup, the Washington DC based quintet may be the next Animal Collective. Their sophomore album, Family, released this past September features 11 songs that sound like a combination of Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes, and of course, Animal Collective. Their rhythmic confusion is created by organic sounds re-processed through a computer instead of simply using a synthesizer. This adds to the depth of the songs which feel like a group sing a long with hand claps, harmonies, and soothing lyrics. The album is truly experimental and eclectic in feel. Good for kicking back in the sun...
Keep Beating,
