ON THE ROAD: Nas and Damian Marley

Nas and Damian Marley's debut cd, Distant Relatives, (dropping May 25th) is guaranteed to get crowds moving. The duo have nonetheless taken their show on a bit of a trial run. Last summer they headlined Rock the Bells, the annual Hip Hop tour comprised of Nas-worshiping and Marley-toasting fans. It was as a result easily a success. This year their putting their show up to more of a test. First with a performance at Ultra Music Festival, Miami's ecstasy driven electronic weekend rave, and next at Bonnaroo, the world renowned hippie fest in Tennessee. I'm looking forward to hearing crowd reactions from the shows (hopefully, I'll be at one). Also looking forward to the release of Distant Relatives which will feature verses from Lil Wayne, Joss Stone, K'naan and Papa Nas, Nasir Jones.
